Yvan Agbo was born in Dakar, Senegal. He started to play the guitar at the age 4 and was featured on TV for the first time at age 6. After working with various artists in Senegal, he moved to France to team up with his brother Alioune on various musical projects. Throughout his musical development, he created an original and unique finger style technique reminiscent of Wes Montgomery. His electrifying fret-board work and stylish use of octaves makes for a unique listening experience and establishes Yvan Agbo as a rare musical talent.
Yvan Agbo played in various European music festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Jazz a Vienne, Montereau Jazz Festival, Montjoux Festival, Festival du Moule. In addition, he performed as an opening act for the following artists and musical groups: Cesaria Evora, Buju Banton, Culture, Keziah Jones, Julien Jacob (Warner Bros), Dominique Panol, Entrain (http:// www.entrain.com/) and has toured throughout France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and Guadalupe.
Since 2006, he has been playing in Key West, Florida by himself or with various musical groups and last summer he teamed up with the musical group Entrain from Martha's Vineyard for their 2010 Tour.
